Hi all,

I hope you’re all keeping safe and well.

I just wanted to see if anyone has been or is in a similar boat as me! Here goes......

On 14th July this year I went in for my 12 week scan of our first baby to be told that my baby had died at 6 weeks. They booked me in for a additional scan 10 days later to check the progress although I naturally miscarried on 19th July (very traumatic experience I passed a lot of blood and clots had to call and ambulance and I kept going very faint and nearly passing out) I went for the planned scan anyway to check all pregnancy had gone and the they confirmed it had.
This Sunday will be exactly 10 weeks since my miscarriage and NOTHING is going on down there, absolutely zilch! No spotting, nothing for 10 weeks. Where is my period??

Me and my partner are desperate to start trying again (which we have already) but I am in absolute limbo!!

We have no problem with conceiving and I done a pregnancy test yesterday which is negative.

My periods were irregular before the pregnancy, my cycles were 37/38 days.

Please help, any experiences just close to mine will give me some hope thank you xxxx

@Darcy278 has your period arrived now?

I’m 12 weeks after mc and still no period!

Darcy278 · 06/10/2020 23:05

@TTCROYGBIV Hi! Yes a few days after this post my periods returned. So it was a total for 9 weeks and 4 days for me. My body went through such a traumatic experience I think it just needed time to heal, everyone is different. It will definitely return but I know how frustrating it can be! It will arrive soon for you xx

@Darcy278 pleased yours has returned. They never say it can take so long for it to return. I’ve never wanted to see it so much!

I had medical management, surgical management and then surgical management again, then an infection so my body probably needs the recuperation time. Xx

@TTCROYGBIV oh gosh! So sorry to hear that :( your body has been through a hell of a lot! I really thought mine wasn’t going to return at all but I they did, my first period was much heavier than normal as well which told me my body maybe still hasn’t healed fully yet. With what you have been through I’m not surprised it’s taking a little longer. Also my periods were irregular before my MC that plays a big factor too meaning they may take longer to return. Hopefully not too much longer now xxx
