URGENT. Surgical procedure - tissue still remaining

Hi everyone, I had a missed miscarriage. Found out at my regular scan at 11 weeks. After that I had a surgical procedure (MVA).
We were considering starting fertility treatment in few months so I got an ultrasound done privately around 15 days after the procedure. In the ultrasound it was found that there is tissue left behind, around 2cm. Now have been asked to take the medicine. Is that the right way to go? I can also opt for surgery but last time it took them 45 mins and it was very tough for them to take out.
It has been such a nightmare and I am so worried. Going to take the medicine in an hour so please advice. Thanks.

Sorry you’re going through this @Sctree. Only saw this now. How did you get on?

I had a missed miscarriage as well. I had the medicine but 3w later after positive preg test, ended up with 4cm left in on scan, so took more medicine (more bleeding, didn’t work enough) and then needed an MVA. Dr said there was tissue that was stubborn to get out. That was 2 weeks ago. I’m still bleeding - I hope they got it all out.
On reflection, shouldn’t have bothered with second dose of medicine although I guess if it had worked I wouldn’t be saying that! The fact that it was tough for them to get tissue out doesn’t sound good...as in maybe you will need more surgery.

I’m praying that my 3 attempts at having one miscarriage have now been successful. It’s frustrating how long and gruelling it all is.
Did you take med? What do you do next? More waiting and HPT or are you having another scan?
