Im having a miscarriage, is this the sac or placenta?

My wife is pregnant for 1 month. She missed her periods 2 weeks back that's when she tested positive for pregnancy. Today just an hour ago, while she was peeing she had some thick blood discharge. She was frightened after seeing it. I clicked the photo now studying for the past one hour to find out if it's a normal discharge or a miscarriage.
