TMI Severe Cramps

Morning all,

I had surgical management on Thursday morning and since yesterday afternoon I've had really severe cramps to the point where I'm about keeled over crying. I originally thought it might be constipation as I've had some wind and only been to the toilet twice since Thursday and its been the tiniest amounts that I've done. I've taken constipation tablets, Ibprofen, hot water bottle and it's not done anything. Yesterday it lasted for around 4 hours, then I woke up around 4am today exact same pain. It comes and goes almost what I would imagine contractions to be like and feels like someone is basically stabbing me in the vagina. Now I'm concerned no clue if it's constipation or to do with my procedure 😭 has anyone else suffered with this afterwards? I've hardly any bleeding at all since my procedure. Thanks x

06:08am - I've just been to the toilet and managed to pass some stool, noticed a few blood clots and pain still happening.

@RAYH25, I'm sorry for your loss. I've had two mmc this year and had a MVA with both. Both times a tiny piece of tissue had been left behind and about a week after the procedure I had bad on and off cramping (like contractions) for 3-5 days. Cramping was always followed by bleeding. Then the tissue passed and cramping stopped. I'd suggest that you call the hospital that did the procedure. They can scan you and put your mind at ease. Stay strong!

@wireless77 Thank you for replying and I'm also sorry to hear you have had to go through that Flowers. My cramps wore off by mid afternoon but I did have a few smallish clots whilst wiping so I wonder if it was because of that. They haven't returned as of yet hopefully that's it and they don't return tonight or tomorrow, if it does I will make sure I contact the doctors first thing. Hope your okay xx

@RAYH25, sounds like the clots may have caused it. It may come and go for a little while. Hot water bottle helped to ease the cramping. x

@wireless77 I spoke too soon, woke up crying with the severe pain again and more bleeding at 11:30pm, ended up phoning gynaecology ward at midnight, went in for assessment. They did speculum exam on me, removed clots as best they could. I either have infection so have been given antibiotics or there is still tissue present. Have to go into hospital again today for another ultrasound Sad really done want to have to go through another procedure so praying its just an infection.
