So after nearly 8wks of bleeding and positive PT I’ve had a scan today and I’m retaining pregnancy tissue, having an MVA on Tuesday so am looking for positive MVA experiences and when you had a negative test and period after?

Thank you! :)

@Hollyjane123 just saw this, honestly don't worry about it, it wasn't that bad, uncomfortable yes but very similar to miscarriage cramping for me anyway, its all over in 10-15 mins. The doctors are doing them all the time now so I'm sure you will be in good hands

Thank you for you response Smile

How king did it take for your ovulation and periods to come back after? I’m hoping as I only have some small remains I’ll get my cycle back quickly!

Hiya. I had MVA a week ago under general anaesthetic. Was totally fine procedure-wise. I woke up to some mild cramping like mild period cramps but they passed after about half an hour and not had any pain since. I felt woozy for the first 24 hours from the anaesthetic but nothing dramatic. Been having very light bleeding ever since - like spotting after a period. Emotionally I've been up and down but physically it was actually very good.

Good luck tomorrow and sorry for your loss

Xxx

Hello, I'm really sorry for your loss. I had an mva in June for a mmc at 8 weeks. It took 6 weeks for me to get a negative pregnancy test after and then first af arrived almost 9 weeks after the procedure. They checked me for retained tissue but I didn't have any. I hope all goes well for you on Tuesday. I've linked a thread below where I shared my experience in detail along with a few other ladies x

Thanks for all your replies ladies, I went in today for my MVA, all went well. It was painful but very quick and I had a bit of gas and air which helped!
Had an internal scan after too to make sure they got everything so fingers crossed that’s it now!! Hoping my bleeding stops soon and my cycle returns soon too! I already had a few negatives on cheaper tests so shouldn’t think it will be long 🤞🏻

@Hollyjane123 glad it went well it was over 3 weeks until I got a negative so I'd assume they got it all, mine stayed positive for so long because they left tissue i think. Iv started cramping today a little and my period would be due this weekend so I'm praying it's period cramps!
