Bleeding 2 weeks after miscarriage (negative test)

Hi just looking for some advice ☺️
I sadly found out 4 weeks ago that our baby had no heartbeat, I had a silent miscarriage and after 2 failed attempts at medical management of the miscarriage, I ended up having an emergency D&C after haemorrhaging and then a blood transfusion. So ive been very on edge about something else going wrong 😭 Today 2 weeks after my D&C I had a negative pregnancy test which is in a way a relief as its over but I am still having brown discharge is this normal? Sometimes I can go hours on end with nothing at all then I will wipe and there is a bit of brown discharge. I am worrying something isn't right. I was put on Cefalexin antibiotics for infection straight after surgery too.
Also if anyone has any advice for trying again? Is it ok to have unprotected sex as soon as bleeding stops and before a period?
Thank you all ☺️ and hugs to anyone who is going through miscarriage or has been through this ❤️

I'm sorry for your loss. I had a d&c after losing twins at 10 weeks in june. I had hardly any bleeding afterwards but I did spot very lightly on and off for about two weeks. We did start TTC again as soon as the spotting stopped but a week after that my AF appeared.

I am pregnant again - the following cycle after my D&c but this is my 4th pregnancy this year so I'm not overly hopeful but 🤞 this one sticks.

I hope you get your bfp soon x x

@Quail15
so sorry to hear that 💔 I have everything crossed for you that this pregnancy goes well ❤️

My bleeding has stopped now finally, so hoping that's the end of it. There seems to be so much conflicting stuff online about trying again, some things I read say there is no reason to wait & others say wait a few cycles etc. I am very anxious about things, as I am sure you have been ❤️
