Missed miscarriage - MVA procedure

I had to have an MVA procedure on 13th August following a missed miscarriage. The hospital said to do a pregnancy test 3 weeks after to test for a negative result to make sure it was 'successful'.

Just wanted to know, people who have either had to have MVA or D&C - how long did it usually take before you got that negative pregnancy test?

We want to TTC again as soon as but know i need to wait for that negative to avoid any false positives/ disappointment in the future.

I had an mva on 22nd June and got a stark white negative pregnancy test exactly 3 weeks later.
I may have got one sooner but I didn't want to test and see 2 lines.
I then had a very very light period 5 days later.
We started ttc after then, did opks which indicated I had a surge when I should have and came on my 2nd period when I should have.
Now about to come into another fertile window so keeping fingers crossed this cycle were successful!
I have to admit, I was pleased I didn't get
pregnant last month as the 2nd period was a bit of a bitch and very heavy for a few days (although much shorter than my usual 10 day periods which I'm pleased about!), so obviously my body needed a bit more time to reset.

Hey Ladies, I had missed miscarriage at 6 weeks when I knew bub stopped growing at my 8 weeks ultrasound. My gp advised me to wait if Anything happens naturally. Since nothing happened, I was referred to Early Pregnancy Clinic and they advised me for medical management. Last Tuesday I had misoprostol and within couple of hours i started to bleed lightly. After 12-16 hours, I had cramping, heavy bleeding with clots and tissues, which lasted for an hour. The next day I was having bleeding just like normal period and mild cramps. But since last Friday, I am having severe cramping but just normal bleeding. No fever at all. I am just worried if its normal. This morning cramping was unbearable. I was given pain medication Panadeine Forte and Ponstan. My pain definitely settles after taking medicine. I felt like contractions more than cramping. This is my first pregnancy. So I have no Idea what is normal. Please help?

@neb91 I had my MVA on the 20th July and got my first negative on 13th Aug. It can take a while for the hormones to leave your system, all my pregnancy symptoms disappeared about a day or 2 afterwards though. I'm now waiting on my first period to try again so fingers crossed

@anushree77 I had an MVA but tissue was left in and I ended up having a normal miscarriage anyway a few weeks later, I had large clots passing for about a week and some days when I bleed lots and some i didnt bleed much, all and all lasted about 2 weeks. If the pain is to much or clots very big id just call them up and they will tell you what to do, all sounds normal based on me though
