Help please - Ovulation after miscarriage

Help and advice needed please ladies...

I had a missed miscarriage and had to have an MVA on 13th August. I've hardly bled since the procedure, just browny/ pink discharge for around 5 days. I know it was only a week since, but out of curiosity I took a pregnancy test yesterday to see if i was still testing positive. It came up with a faint line as I expected really.

This morning again just out of curiosity, I took a OPK and it came up positive??
Does anyone know, because I still have hCG in my system from the pregnancy, does that effect the OPK? Could the OPK be a false positive due to hCG? Or am I close to ovulate?

I dont really want to wait for AF before TTC again but I dont know when I should start tracking ovulation. Best to wait until I get BFN?

In the photo top is the pregnancy test, bottom is OPK. Im confused and just want to start TTC again 😕 😒

OPKs can show as positive in pregnancy, so if both a pregnancy test and OPK are positive at the same time, that's probably why.

I think you'd be unlikely to ovulate while there's still HCG in your system.

It's frustrating, I'm in the same boat, still getting positive pregnancy tests.

Opks and pregnancy tests will show positive for a good few weeks. I know this because I had an erpc in January and tried desperately to get pregnant straight way so I was constantly testing with both types. I think my tests only became negative six weeks after. I got pregnant again second cycle in the end.

@welldonesquirrels @chubbyhotchoc thanks for getting back to me. I'll ignore the OPK then and take it as a false positive. I'll wait for the negative pregnancy test, then I'll start with the OPK again. Its so hard this waiting game! 🙄

@neb91 if it makes you feel any better I kind of regret rushing at it after the miscarriage. My hormones were all over the place and I now feel like I've been pregnant for approximately one hundred years. Your baby is waiting in the wings for you. You don't need to drive yourself crazy in this process Thanks
