Recurrent miscarriage - preds? Miscarriage prevention question

Hi there

I have three kids. One conceived no issues. I had one ectopic and two early miscarriages. I took preds and clexane etc based on research but not testing (I couldn’t get tested quickly enough before I feel pregnant so a private consultant was happy to prescribe on the basis of research we had both read). I kept both of these babies now 3 and 4. I fell pregnant in September and didn’t take anything and lost it again. We are trying atm and I’m doing a bunch of stuff like Accupuncture, seeing a naturopathic doctor and have plans to take progesterone etc. I wanted to get the killer cell test done but timings pre lock down didn’t work out and then as far as I know still closed. I tend to get pregnant quickly I just can’t keep them. I don’t know whether to argue for the preds and then self isolate my family whilst on them? Does anyone know what the guidelines are currently for preds re recurrent miscarriage? Has anyone been put on them without explicit testing? I won’t get help from nhs for months and the private help I’ve paid for doesn’t include this test. I’m a bit worried I’ll kick myself if I don’t take them but just wanted to know what advice others have been given as haven’t been lucky enough to speak with one of the mega specialists - thanks in advance x

Hi @Lovemylittlebear there is a thread on here with lots of ladies who are under Dr Shehata who've had recurrent miscarriages and are taking pred. I am on it, but my nk cells tests are normal and we don't have reasons for our miscarriages. I'll link it for you, post on there and hopefully they can tell you their protocol x

I was prescribed prednisone by Mr Shehata due to start in eqrly April but he then advised against taking them, treatment halted for 2 months. Had to have COVID-19 antibody test then he prescribed hydroxychloroquine as an alternative. a friend who is a rheumatologist also advised me against taking the prednisone during the pandemic so they are lying in a drawer!! So sorry to hear about your miscarriages xxx
