Constant spotting

I'm looking for some help (I will also call my gp on Monday).

I had medical management just over 5 weeks ago, baby was measuring around 9 weeks, no heartbeat (should have been 13). It all seemed to go as well as can be expected. I had a - test 3 weeks later. I bled for 15 days then had a period 10 days later (25 days after I took the first tablet). A little bit longer & heavier than normal but the hospital told me it might be, 9 days, 5 of which were heavy. The problem is aside from 1 day (Monday) I've had spotting every day since. Not enough to fill a pad or even a liner but enough to leave a mark on my underwear & it's always there when I wipe. Dr Google has given conflicting information on whether it's normal or not. I'm not having any pain aside from the odd twinge but that's normal for me & there's no discharge or smell, just the usual cm with the pink blood mixed in. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Hi @Veryconfusebythespotting, I can’t be of much help but I completely relate to your story as I’m experiencing similar. Had a miscarriage 2 months ago at 12 weeks (baby measuring 9). Got my period a couple of weeks ago, was longer than normal and heavy with clots, I also had spotting some days before it properly started. Period finished about a week ago but some days I get the odd bit of spotting. Doctor said it’s normal as hormones are still settling down and uterine wall probably still quite thick so I’m not worrying. Just glad I’ve had my period and hoping my cycles are soon back on track - let me know what your doc says though, I’d be interested as they all have different opinions!

Yes - I experienced this after a mc last August. Bleeding from the mc subsided seemed to have a period almost 4 weeks after the actual mc but then just continued to spot. I went back to the epu (the one I go to is a gyny A&e) and they said that it was just my body trying to normalise as the pregnancy test was negative - I.e it was hormonal and not to worry. My GP sent me for a scan to be on the safe side, which I actually had after the spotting finally stopped and I had a normal (slightly long by a day or so) period. The scan was also normal.
Also to add that was my 3 mc in a row and 5th in my life time and the first time I had encountered the scenario of the constant spotting.
