Thoughts on hysteroscopy

Feeling very confused 😐 Does anyone have any thoughts on which scan to have following 3 miscarriages? I’ve had initial blood tests with Dr S and am currently awaiting results. He has given me information on hysteroscopy but is it essential at this stage, would a cheaper scan suffice at this point and then follow up with a hysteroscopy if anything abnormal showed up? I have no indication of any physical problems and was scanned by the nhs following my first miscarriage which didn’t flag anything up.
Also, do you think he will be ok with me having a scan done locally rather than at the clinic?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated x

I'm very sorry of your losses @Alliebear20 I've had 3 too and still no closer to answers ❤️

I would definitely recommend having a hysteroscopy. I have had numerous scans as am on the fertility pathway too, all showing fibroids. After my second loss I was sent for a hysteroscopy to have a closer look at the fibroids and remove them. I came round from the anesthetic and they found no fibroids but did remove a polyp which no scan had ever picked up. Polyps can create a hostile environment, so it was definitely worth it for me.

We're pursuing the IVF route now as I had another loss in February. I had the nk cells biopsy, all normal - got my follow up consultation tomorrow, wondering if my issues is egg quality so hoping the IVF will help gives us more insight.

If you look on the pred thread on this board, loads of the posters are under Dr S, so they might be able to advise xx

Many thanks @VenusStarr, so sorry for your losses, so hard isn’t it.
I have just received results of blood tests and they seem to indicate NK cells but will get confirmation at my appointment.
I’m still undecided re scan and will perhaps discuss further with Dr S to help make that decision.
Good luck with your consultation tomorrow xxx
