It’s been over 4 weeks since I had a miscarriage, I had the pessaries to get things going and it all seemed to happen in a day. I spoke to epau and they seemed to think everything had been passed but told me to do a pregnancy test in 3 weeks, I did and had an extremely faint positive could barely see it but it was there. Spoke to the epau and they said do another test in a week. Again same extremely faint positive. Now I’ve had a fever and chills, pains in my abdomen, pregnancy symptoms again like funny taste, nausea, painful permanantly erect nipples sorry if tmi so I don’t know if I’ve still got retained product and an infection or if something else is going on. I’m waiting on a phone call from my gp. I’m just struggling with it all, it just seems never ending. I’m so down and can’t seem to cope. I wanna hope to try again but right now feels like it will never come. Just want my period to come to start trying but seems a long way off, anyone experience similar?

Do you have a direct line to your Early Pregnancy Unit at your local hospital? It should be 24-7 and they'll be the best to speak to. If you have a fever you need to see someone pretty urgently my dear Thanks

If not please call 111 and speak in detail about your symptoms and fear of infection, this may be serious and GP's are often the slowest/downplay things the most, and I want you to get seen to sooner rather than later

Hi thanks for replying And the advice. My temperature has gone down quite a bit thankfully and I contacted the epau and they are going to see me tomorrow morning for some bloods etc, Not sure why it’s fluctuated so much since last night. The epau didn’t particularly seem concerned other than if I had any other symptoms that might be coronavirus, my gp just told me to call the epau and did a urine sample to check for urine infection and told me to let her know if the epau want her to prescribe antibiotics and she will do it. Tbf it’s the most helpful gp I’ve had throughout this whole mess which is really saying something. If my temperature goes back over 38 and My symptoms get worse before tomorrow then I’ve got to phone 111 or go straight to hospital. Just want it all sorted it’s so painful

I can empathise with the pain Daffodil hang in there, it seems horrific but honestly it doesn't last too long its just when its happening it seems like it'll never stop but it will

Im glad your GP is good. Mine was a bit rubbish tbh and contradicted a lot of what the EPU told me so i've learnt to trust the hospital more over a GP as they see women go through MC every day so know the exact signs of when things are fine and when you may need extra help

Unfortunately the epau couldn’t see me in the end because I suddenly developed diarrhoea and they didn’t want to risk it passing to pregnant women 🥺 that hurt a bit but I understand. They think it’s gastroenteritis because of the diarrhoea now but at the same time I’m now bleeding which It could be my period. Feeling so lousy and low today thankfully my temperature has gone down a lot after going up to 39 yesterday but the bleeding a reminding me of the miscarriage and feeling so lousy isn’t helping
