How long did you spot after blighted ovum?

Hello so I started bleeding lightly on May 14th and scan on May 20th confirmed blighted ovum. As I had started bleeding I was left to miscarry myself. Contraction type pain started on Monday 25th and on Tuesday 26th I was losing a lot of blood and the pain was indescribable. I had to go to hospital and they manually took out pregnancy tissue which I suspect was the sac. Instant pain relief. I continued to bleed heavily for a few days and now I’ve just got brown discharge on wiping. Has anyone got experience of similar? When should I roughly expect the brown spotting to stop? I’m worried there is retained tissue. I’ve taken a pregnancy test and still strong positive. It’s over three weeks since I started bleeding but only two since I passed the sac. I’m going wait another week and test again. I just want this all to be over so we can hopefully try again. X

I’ve just had a mmc, I had medical management so the tablets. I started brown spotting a week before the tablets. Heavy bleeding for 2 days including passing the sac.

The spotting finally finished 2 weeks after the tablets.

I’m still showing a positive test but it is getting lighter, I’ve been told to officially test 3 weeks after passing the main bit, which will be on Wednesday this week and if I’m still showing a positive to call EPU.

I think it takes time for HCG to leave your system and have asked the question several times as to how long it will take, varies between a few days to 6 weeks xz

I had surgical management for blighted ovum at 10 weeks a week ago. I stopped bleeding within 2-3 days and stopped spotting within 4-5 days. Haven’t taken a pregnancy test yet - will do so tomorrow but fully expect it to still be positive. They do say bleeding up to 2 weeks is normal and that if you have a positive test after three weeks to go back to the hospital.
