Recently Miscarriage

Hello,

I've recently just had a miscarriage I was 6 weeks but this was my first. I'm just wondering how long people usually wait before ttc again?

Sorry for your loss OP. I've just had my 3rd MC a few weeks back. You can TTC as soon as the bleeding has completely stopped for more than 2 days, and you feel emotionally ready. There is no set timeline. Some people say to wait 1 cycle, but this is more for dating purposes.

I've 'heard' you are more fertile after a birth or MC, but I've never been able to find any medical literature or stats to back this up. There are several that have conceived straight away, without AF in between, but the vast majority seem to MC again. There are exceptions though of course.

There is helpful advice, leaflets and a helpline from the miscarriage ass which might be useful. Also Tommys website are good. Take care of yourself, and remember that this isn't your fault, and you aren't alone xxx

Ah thank you! I'm doing a lot better today than the last couple of days. Finally stopped bleeding yesterday. Just really eager to try again as soon as I can.
