Period after miscarriage?

I started miscarrying 8th May and it was completed within 3 days, I was 5 weeks at the time. When should I be due AF? After my first miscarriage I had my next period as my normal cycle 28 days. I was TTC straight away after this miscarriage, so if I count it as if it was my period I should have been due today but nothing, also took a test and it was negative. Any experiences of first period after early miscarriage?

It is hard to say exactly when your period will return after a MC as even though you resumed your 28 day cycle before, each pregnancy/MC can result in change. The NHS advice is from between 4-6 weeks after your MC.

If you had a regular cycle before, it is likely it will become regular again, but a few days' delay is not unusual at all. If you are getting negative HPTs, I am sure your period will show up before this time next week, if not much sooner.

Thanks @thankfulbee I will wait a week and then if my period hasn't come I will test again. So annoying how much it messes with your body!

I had my MC at 7 weeks pregnant in February. My 1st period came after 6 weeks. But my 2nd period came extremely late at day 63 which is today

@xx66 just a waiting game then, I still haven't came on. That's a very long wait for your second period isn't it? X

I had a period about two weeks after my mc, then another two weeks later, then for the next four months my periods were awfully heavy and painful

Still no period but have had 3 days of brown spotting don't even feel like period is coming. Any advice? It's doing my head in now!
