Woke up with red heavy bleeding :(

So as title says really. Had no signs that this was going to happen, no spotting or pains. I’m around 6 weeks. Woke up this morning and it’s so heavy and bright red. Is this normal? I’ve heard it usually starts as spotting. Sorry for the tmi and possibly silly question but I’ve never been through this before. Totally devastated

I'm sorry you're going through this. Bleeding can mean a miscarriage but I know people who have had bad bleeding and been convinced they are miscarrying, only for everything to be ok and the bleeding to be caused by something else. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing without having either blood tests to measure your hcg levels (to check they are rising enough and not falling) or an early scan. I'd call your GP and see what they can offer you. I hope you have a positive outcome.
