@Crystal2020 Awww that's great news! A line is a line :) mine was definitely faint when I tested 11dpo and I was a bit gutted however it got darker at 13dpo and I've not tested since. I woke up today thinking should I? But I'm not going to.
Did you use a frer? Like you said we are asked to treat early so faint lines are expected. Fingers crossed it gets darker xx 😊

Thanks @KtAgs @HoldingOn2Hope. It’s going to be a long wait until Thursday. Will hold off from testing tomorrow as I know there won’t be enough of a change. Yep I used a FRER. Weird that the 2nd one was darker than the first... You were right not to test again @HoldingOn2Hope...it’s a form of torture! X

Congrats @Crystal2020! Everything crossed for you.

My pregnancy tests are still positive from my trigger shot so I'm torturing myself now by POAS every day and trying to work out whether the second line is getting lighter or darker.

@Crystal2020 that is great news. I know what you mean about the line, mine was also super light at 11dpo, but it is sooooo early to test. Keeping everything crossed for you x

Wonderful news @Crystal2020! Good luck. I hope time passes quickly and that everything goes smoothly for you. @HoldingOn2Hope and @Countrygirl220 how are you both feeling?

@Ultra26 I'm okay, just feeling a bit more tired than I usually do but other than that no symptoms. I called the clinic today regarding my next appts as I don't see the point in having a reassurance scan at 7 weeks and Intralipids at 8weeks so asked if I could just come to one of those and have both all being well. Nurse did say pred masks symptoms and I know that but still makes me fee a bit anxuous 😬 Sometimes I totally even forgot about it all until I go to pick a object or eat something I shouldn't! I do feel the last few days have dragged.
How are you both doing @Ultra26 @Countrygirl220 and everyone else. Xx

@Holdingon2hope that would be amazing regards the letrozole, are you sure? How do we contact each other privately on here (sorry a bit new to it) not sure what Dr S will make of me obtaining it without his prescription though?! Haha! hope you're doing ok - did the clinic say you could club your 7&8 wk apps together after all?

@eeviee looks like we are both starting our first SO cycles together if this month ends up being a negative so we'll have to stay in touch! I think I will go for my scan at 11-13 days because I'm keen to have my lining checked but I'm absolutely paranoid about work if I'm back from furlough then as I can't quite work out how I'm going to justify a day off when I've just been off for 3 months! Terrified of them knowing and then not wanting me anymore as they'll know I'm planning to go off and have a baby.

Quiet congrats to you@Crystal2020 keep us posted.

Sorry for the delays in my responses ladies - you guys love to chat -it takes me a day to catch up!! WinkSmileXx

@HoldingOn2Hope totally know what you mean! Some symptoms would be comforting! I got myself into a state yesterday when I realised that I don't have the full feeling in my uterus anymore and the mild cramps have also stopped. Then when I didn't pee straight after a cup of tea, I worried even more. I think because I've never made it to 6 weeks I'm finding it hard to believe all is well in there. This waiting is so hard. I think I'll be brave and ring the clinic and make an appointment for 2 weeks time when I'll be 7.5weeks and maybe take a test on Friday. The 3 I've taken so far have shown great progression and that should comfort me but the comfort wears off quickly.

@Ultra26 i know exactly what you mean, although some symptoms don't kick in til after 6 weeks or so plus we have to keep reminding ourselves we are on pred. I ended up googling 🙈
I'm definitely not going for the 6 week scan, rather wait til 8 weeks and have both scan and intralipids at the same appt. Is that your plan too?
I feel very bloated, it's not uncomfortable and not windy but my stomach just feels like a bump which can be cause by uterine swelling - dr google said so! Lol

@Ultra26 I'm too scared to take another test. Again even if I did i don't think it would keep me calm or anymore positive especially after my last preg/mc experience. I'm just going to try and be positive until that 8 week appt. I'll keep everything crossed for us both and keep you in my prayers xx

@HoldingOn2Hope that my plan too, hope the next 2 weeks go super quick for you. I did have that bloated, sort of hard feeling and probably have it more towards the end of the day but didn't have it yesterday and today. Hope it's not a bad sign. All we can do is keep going and keep the faith that all is ok. Have a good day x

@hrtbrk2 I'll send you a private msg, I can't view mine on the app but can if I log into my Mumsnet through website. Dr S won't know as he's relying on you to get it privately anyway, just keep the prescription (although I hope you won't need it after your first SO cycle).
Well I called the clinic yday and emailed but there's one nurse - no name mentions lol who never really reads emails properly and just sends a response that doesn't make any sense at all. I've already said to Geraldine at the clinic that I'd rather just speak to her but I hope she picks up the email this morning as I forwarded to her to understand what I mean! Same nurse who messed up my appt a few months ago so I had to sit and wait 4 hours until Dr Jan arrived. I'd got back from a long haul holiday the night before and then the 4 hour drive I was exhausted. I emailed asking if I could just attend the 1 appt gave reasons why and she replied asking Dr S when your arrive for your appt' - 🙄🙄🙄

@HoldingOn2Hope so frustrating! I've just spoken with the clinic and they are not happy for me to merge meetings so it looks like I'm going in next Wednesday for the 6weeks scan then 2 weeks later for 8week scan and intralipids. Maybe you'll have better luck. Is your bloating continuous or just now and again?

@Ultra26 & @HoldingOn2Hope I'm ok thanks, but like you guys I have also been mentalling about symptoms that come and go... sometimes I feel a tiny bit nauseous in the morning before breakfast or at night before dinner but sometimes not and sometimes my boobs hurt and sometimes they don't which then freaks me out constantly!!

However, I have just got back from having a scan and there is still a baby and a heartbeat, phew!! Obvs not out of the woods but am just quietly and gingerly trying to creep my way... like you guys say we just have to keep the faith. Keeping my fingers crossed for you both and wishing you a speedy couple of weeks and for you too @Crystal2020 hope you are doing ok?x

Hope everyone else is well x

I was just about to update the same @Ultra26
Clinic called and said Dr S has said I have to go for the 6 weeks scan which is booked at 7 weeks as he can only keep prescribing meds once I've had that scan. So it is what it is. She did say he may allow me to have the Intralipids on the same day at his discretion. The bloating is there all the time! I look a couple of months pg! It's not as hard as it was yday. It could be because of changes to the bowels as well - again that's what Dr Google said 😬

Report
HoldingOn2Hope · 27/05/2020 13:43

@Ultra26 we have the same dates roughly then as my 6 week scan should be next week however there was no morning appts available so it's booked for the week after.

@Countrygirl220 Awwww I'm glad your scan has gone well and little bean has a good heartbeat :) how many weeks are you now? The symptom spotting is awful, I just forget about them sometimes and other times I'm obsessing.

@HoldingOn2Hope Am now 10w4d - and it feels like it has been a very long 8 weeks! I know what you mean, and I often have thought when I'm not obsessing the symptoms come along, when I'm willing them to be there they stubbornly stay away... I'm sure most of this is in my head!!! Re. the bloating though, I think the cyclogest actually contributes to that a bit (particularly if using the back door), just as a thought!x

Ladies I’m having a bit of a dilemma! I have my first SO scan booked in for Friday morning at 9.30am with Dr Jan. The nurses recommended I come in earlier rather than later given my scan window falls on a weekend. Just after I booked the appointment the nurses rang back and said Dr S usually likes to scan you himself for the first SO cycle so they may move it to Thursday late afternoon but would check with Dr S when he was back in the clinic today. This would be CD9 which seems super early given he wanted to scan me between 11-13 but also they haven’t let me know yet if they’re moving my appointment to tomorrow! I rang at lunchtime and they said they would let me know once they’ve spoken to Dr S but it’s now 4.30 and still nothing! We would have to make arrangements with work and for the puppy as it will take us 5/6 hours to drive down tomorrow 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’m not holding out much hope of hearing from them now so has anyone seen Dr Jan before? Is he/she nice?

I ended up taking letrozole days 3-7 as I didn’t get my prescription until the afternoon on day 2. Do people have a preference to start on day 2 or 3? I haven’t really felt much different taking it although today I have a dull ache in my left side.

I hope everyone had a lovely bank holiday weekend & managed to top up on vitamin D in the sunshine xx

@Wishing5tar they are a pain for not getting back to patients, it really bugs me too. I've seen Dr Jan and I'll be honest the first time I felt he didn't explain much and I sat in the waiting room after the appt thinking of Q's - luckily Geri the nurse realised and answered a few of them, I then had to see him again a couple of months ago and find him to be a lot more informative and he's quite pleasant! And as @HarrietM87 said to me in a previous post he's quite nice looking too! 😆
I've started meds on day 2 mainly, but a couple of cycles on day 3 - I don't think it makes much of a difference. I think seeing Dr S on day 9 is ok as even seeing Dr Jan on day 10 will probably mean you need to take the trigger home with you?
Have you managed to get through to them again?

Report
HarrietM87 · 27/05/2020 17:45

@Wishing5tar the last follicle scan I had (month I conceived) was CD9 because that was a Friday and previous cycles I’d triggered CD11 so the Monday would have been too late. I just had to take the trigger shot home with me and administer it on day 11. Did the job! Lol I thought Dr Jan was quite fit! Though he did freak me out by asking “how old are you again?!” Stupidly I just told him and didn’t ask whether my ovaries were looking very young or very old for my age!

@Eeviee id really recommend getting a follicle scan done locally. Interesting he’s started you straight off on 7.5 - that’s the top dose of letrozole. With me I had to go up from 2.5 to 5 to 7.5. I conceived my son with just 1 follicle on 2.5, on 5 I had 2 but he wasn’t sure one of them was viable, and on 7.5 I had 4. For your first cycle you really should see what’s happening in there in case it’s not working for you or it’s working too well! (Which can be dangerous). Good luck!

And huge congrats to @Crystal2020!

@Wishing5tar my first SO scan was last month and I ended up having to go on day 9 because of how the days fell. And it turned out I was ready to go and I had to do the trigger shot that night! So I think going for an early scan your 1st time definitely isn’t a bad thing as it’s hard to predict how you’ll react to the letrozole. That’s so annoying they haven’t gotten back to you by the way!

Yay for your scan @Countrygirl220! So good to hear about people progressing down this long old road.

Don’t know what’s going on with me. I now feel crampy like I’m getting my period (early). Will have to wait and see what happens but not holding out much hope given how light yesterday’s line was. X

@HoldingOn2Hope No luck getting through to them again. I rang just before 5 and it just rang out until voicemail. So I’m assuming Friday morning is going ahead - although I’m not looking forward to the 3am alarm to be on the road for 3.30 😴

I think I’ll likely have to bring the trigger shot home with me, I’ve borrowed the plug in cool box from my sister so we can keep it in the ‘fridge’ on the drive home. I’ll be great for car snacks too haha 👏🏽

@HarrietM87 @Crystal2020 Thank you for your replies too ladies - you give me hope! Fingers crossed I’m almost ready 🤞🏽 Does the trigger shot hurt? Also where do you stick it in at?

When are you planning to test again @Crystal2020? Xx
