Miscarriage and Vitamins?

I've been feeling really weak after my miscarriage with bodily pains here and there. I'm just a bit wary of taking any type of vitamin, multi vitamin, folic acid, magnesium etc. I read somewhere that there's a risk of miscarriage and always thought maybe that's why I miscarried. However last year around this time I was deficient in folic acid and have started to feel the same. I'm thinking maybe it was the low folic acid. We're trying again...but I'm scared it will happen again due to me being deficient in something...I can't really go to the doctors right now with what's going on... it would be helpful to check...

I also think maybe it was because I took pregnancies one morning whilst I was pregnant and then took it at night (I forgot) can this happen?

Take a prenatal vitamin and you have no need to worry. The vitamins won't have caused your miscarriage. I take mine in the middle of the day when I'm feeling the "best" (best being relative to absolutely awful!)

I think the link (that still needs investigating to see if it's really a link) has been found with multivitamins not folic acid alone. You should be taking folic acid pre-conception anyway and especially if you're deficient. Please don't worry about multivitamins and misscarriage, and especially folic acid alone. Sorry for your loss

Thank you both. Which prenatal vitamins do you take? Just folic acid?

I took just folic acid but I think folic acid and vitamin D is recommended. Good luck
