Just looking for advice or thoughts - started bleeding 17 days ago (lighter than a period with some small clots). Bleed on and off for two weeks ish. Now am not bleeding. Went for a scan about 12 days into bleeding and it showed an empty sac measuring 5 weeks which would be about right (stomach scan rather than internal). Next Tuesday it’ll be three weeks since my initial bleeding - and I still have symptoms. I’m so confused - does the sac sometimes just stay and you have to have intervention? I hate not knowing!!

It’s called a missed miscarriage when your body still thinks you are pregnant but the foetus stopped developing. What did they say at the clinic when you went for the scan?

They said they weren’t sure whether it was a miscarriage or just that it was too early to see inside the sac. On Tuesday (3 weeks after bleeding) I’ll do a test and call the epu. I know for sure that I haven’t passed the sac since the scan though...
