Periods after miscarriage at 42

Hi - I miscarried at 9.5 weeks about 11 months ago. Before the pregnancy my cycle was very regular - 27/28 days. Once my period returned about 6 weeks after the miscarriage the cycle length has been much shorter some are 19 days, others 21 days or 25 days. However I’m currently now on day 30 and definitely not pregnant. Just wondering if anyone else of a similar age experienced the same? Thank you

Hi, I am 41, I had miscarriage last summer at 9 weeks. My periods were always short around 21-24 days, after my period it lasted around 28-32 days. In my previous pregnancies I fell pregnant straight away, after my miscarriage i fell pregnant on my 5th cycle and sadly miscarried at 6 weeks. I am now waiting for my period to return. Sometimes I wonder if my hormones didn't fully settle after my miscarriage and my body didn't return to normal hence the longer periods and the subsequent miscarriage. Other times I wonder if it could be due to being over 40. I hope to try again but I have no idea what to expect. Its hard when no one can give you any definitive answers. I hope things work out for you.
