Back to Normal after Miscarriage

I'm hoping someone in a similar position can tell me about their experience.

I had a miscarriage 10-days ago. I was 6-weeks pregnant and a scan confirmed nothing was left only a couple of days later. I'm assuming the pregnancy didn't progress much after 2-3 weeks as I only lightly bled for a week (other than tissue and clots) and pregnancy tests have been negative for a week - pretty much as soon as the miscarriage started - and my pregnancy symptoms were completely gone immediately.

Once your HCG levels are undetectable in home tests, how long does it take for you to start ovulating again? I'm hoping that my cycle has restarted and I'll ovulate in the next week or two so I can have a period and then start TTC again.

Reading everyone's experiences, it seems a lot of women's HCG levels take a while to go down, but has anyone had theirs drop as quickly as mine and how long did it take for you to get your next period?

Hi, I’m really sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Your story sounds similar to mine. In February I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. It happened in the morning then I went to the epu that afternoon and the hpt they took was negative. So that means I had passed everything in literally a couple of hours, which I was quite surprised about. I also hear a lot of stories about women’s hcg levels remaining for weeks, but not in our case.

I must have ovulated a couple of weeks after my mc because I got pregnant again straight away before even having my first period.( currently 7+3) so it is possible to ovulate as normal and even fall pregnant before your first period.

Thanks @Chwil20, I'm glad it wasn't just me... I was surprised at how quick it all happen TBH. Congratulations on falling pregnant again, I wish you a healthy rest of your pregnancy :-)

We chose to wait for my next period before TTC, but according to the CB OPK I'm currently in high fertility with a high oestrogen, just waiting for that LH surge. Good to hear a positive story from someone similar to myself, I was worried I was abnormal.
