First pregnancy, worrying about miscarriage

Hi everyone
I hoping that maybe a few people can reassure me. I'm 8+2 and last week I experienced some spotting, it came and went before I knew it. However over the weekend I start having brownish discharge and now every time I wipe I have thick stringy discharge with a slight brown blood tinge. I have slight cramps but I've been getting these from the start of my pregnancy and they only last a few seconds and then go like they have been since I found out. Obviously this is my first pregnancy so I don't know what's normal and what's not.
I've called my doctor and they have me booked in for an early scan in the morning, I've never been so emotional I really hope that this is all normal and nothing to worry about but I'm starting to feel that it is not and that I should be worried. If any of you ladies have been through this please share your stories whether good or bad. I need some advice/comfort.

@ac254

It is good news they have referred you straight in for a scan and fingers crossed that you get to see a heartbeat tomorrow morning. Hope you are able to take somebody with you. I know it's not helpful to say but some bleeding in early pregnancy can be okay sometimes these things end positively and sometimes they end negatively but please try and stay as positive as you can until tomorrow. Sending you lots of love 💜💙

Thank you for your reply. My partner wasn’t allowed in with me which broke my heart, but luckily the US come back showing a little baby and a strong heartbeat so we had something to celebrate when I got back to him 💓 I was told that the bleeding maybe implantation bleed, but everything looks good. I can now start to relax and enjoy this pregnancy. Thanks again for your kind words @SmileyT 💗
