Hi everyone.
Please forgive this question, but I am confused.

I had an ERPC 10days ago. I did a pregnancy test today and am still testing positive.
Does this mean my system will not ovulate until my body registers as not-pregnant?
Or is the pregnancy test measuring remaining hormones and my reproductive system could in fact be starting process of ovulating?

Apologies
I don’t understand the biology of it.

If anyone could help me I’d appreciate it

Hi,

I was told to wait 2 weeks before using a pregnancy test and was told to phone the EPU if it was positive. It was negative so I didn't need to call them. I miscarries at home though so the advice may be different.

As for ovulating afterwards, I think it's common for a slight delay while your body recovers. My cycles average about 36 dates but the first month after I miscarried I ovulated a week later than 'normal' for me. I used OPKs as I didn't know how long I would have to wait for my next period.

I actually got pregnant again that cycle, but again it didn't last. I didn't use OPKs after the second time as I was just so done peeing on sticks and waiting for results, but that was a lot longer. I had a sort of half period about 5 weeks later and then didn't come on again for 71 days.

I'm sorry I don't necessarily have the answers your looking for. Take good care of yourself and give yourself the time you need Thanks
