I was diagnosed with a missed miscarriage on February 25 at the ER I was suppose to be 10 weeks but from the scan the baby gestational age was 8 weeks and 2 days.
I'm very depressed about losing my baby and very depressed on how I look right now
I noticed hips did get bigger during pregnancy and I'm wondering if eventually it'll got back to the size it was before I got pregnant? I am overweight but was trying to lose weight before I got pregnant
I am how exercising and I'm really hoping I'll get back down to what I was before getting pregnant I only gained a few pounds I think, not entirely sure

So sorry for your loss, have you now been given the all clear by the hospital or are you awaiting a natural miscarriage? I only ask because unless this is finalised you won’t be able to deal with anything emotionally or physically. Speaking from past experience

You do need to give yourself time, recovering from a trauma your body needs sympathy as well as your mind. Don’t punish yourself if you skip up. But yes you will get your body back, exercise might actually help you get through this as something to take your mind off things

@Toomanygerbils
I Haven't went back for a follow up on anything yet but I'm not sure if I passed all the tissue and etc
Exercising makes me feel good and everything I'm just afraid I'll put in all this work and see no results which will also result in me giving up and feeling more depressed about everything
I want to give my body time to heal but I don't exactly know what I'm doing because this was my
First pregnancy and miscarriage and I just don't know much of anything I've had support but I still feel like I don't know what I'm doing or how long to give my body time to heal and rest I just don't know and I just feel very upset
Sorry for ranting and everything
I'm glad you replied I feel like every time i post on this page I almost never get any responses

Have you an appoint booked for a follow up? As hard as it is you do need to, i don’t want to scare you when you’re going through so much right now though, but it’s very important. I had a missed miscarriage found out at 12 week scan. After the loss at home I had my follow up a week later and still tested positive, same again a week later. I had some tissue lodged in my cervix which needed removal, took a couple of minutes but was told it could have caused an infection if left there

Moving on if you feel well enough to exercise then you probably are. Just try to keep it at home, close by, or public so if you feel faint you have support. Your body will tell you if you need to rest. What type of workout are you trying? I don’t need to lose weight but could definitely use some pre holiday toning! Was thinking of setting up my dusty wii fit or just dance games!

@Toomanygerbils
I'm thinking about getting one as soon as possible now I barely have cramping and I have light pink bleeding
I've just doing at home exercises
Can't afford the gym lol. But I'm just trying out some cardio. I absolutely love walking but I'm in a area that's not real safe so I can't do it alone otherwise I definitely would, my boyfriend sometimes can't come with me because he has health problems with his back and has good days and bad days and he doesn't want me doing it alone which is understandable
So I've been trying out jumping jacks which my body is used to doing because have done them before getting pregnant
I try to do planks, just little exercises for at home and I also was using some 10 pound weights to lift but unfortunately I had to leave them back home since they were not mine and so I'm trying to find alternatives to weights without having to spend money
I have tried running in place but I lose interest very fast with that but I've been still trying to do it, hip raises, things like that
I have been cramping and I think it's from the exercising but am not too sure. so maybe I should hold off? or just try to slow it down? I'm not sure :(

I agree you should get an appointment just to check everything is ok as soon as possible. Some cramping is to be expected though, your body has been through a lot

If you can’t afford work out equipment household stuff can replace a lot. When I was at uni we used to use tinned beans when doing aerobics is our hands. You can also find some really good instructions on YouTube for workouts

If you enjoy something keep doing it, it will only make you feel better. Maybe your boyfriend could even join in with a few, some you can do from bed and may help his mobility a bit

Look up bodyweight exercises. You'll get strong! But I think you should also take it easy and let your mind and body recover a bit too. I'm had a mmc (due to go in for medical management today) and in exactly the same situation...I've eaten non stop for weeks and put on a good chunk of weight that I really want to lose asap. Also cant afford gym! Want to buddy up and use this thread for accountability?

Toomanygerbils · 03/03/2020 05:04

Good look with your appointment today crocs, I’ll join your fitness class!

Crocsandsocks · 03/03/2020 06:28

Thank you. I just want it over with now (baby stopped growing at 7 weeks and I'm now technically about 12!). I'm going to deal with it by really focussing on fitness and getting strong. I want to feel in control of my body again, and have it work for me since I feel it's really let me down, not by the miscarriage (it happens, and for a reason) but because it's just failed to notice the pregnancy has failed and continued to put me through hell with hormones and appetite and soreness etc. I've always been a 'I need to diet and exercise' sort of person but this time I want to do it differently. I want to eat and train!

Than I did before I got pregnant which was close to nothing but I am try my hardest to keep trying to get fit
So sorry for both of yalls losses!
Sending love
