Low rising hcg levels

Backstory is that I am around 5-6 weeks pregnant.

I started spotting last Friday and it was heavy Monday (passed clots & around 3 pads).GP sent me to the EPU.

They did my bloods and I went back today for a scan. Scan showed the egg sac but hard to see much else. My bloods tho show my hcg levels have only gone from 3487- 3896 since then.

Is this a chemical pregnancy? I've got to go back on sat for more bloods then Monday for bloods and another scan.

This waiting is killing me. If I'm going to miscarry I'd rather it got on with it.

Does slow rising hcg levels always mean bad news? Sad

Hey

Definitely not a chemical pregnancy.

A chemical pregnancy is where you miscarry so early, nothing is visible on a scan.
You have a sac so therefore, pregnant.

If i was 6 weeks pregnant, i would expect to see a foetal pole on a scan and for HCG levels to be higher (however, people do have successful pregnancies with lower levels) but yes, if your levels were 3487 nearly a week ago, i would expect them to be higher yesterday.

Its horrible to say, but i think you should prepare for the worst, hope for the best.
I know the waiting around is awful, ive been there, 4 times over.

Good luck xxx

Levels still rising. Scanned today and they found it's a Caesarian scar ectopic pregnancy. I have emergency surgery tomorrow Sad it's actually in my Caesarian scar! How unlucky can I be. The rarest form of ectopic
