Is this a miscarriage? :( pic included warning

Hi all
For the past week or so had light spotting and small clots when wiping but assumed as I'm breastfeeding it was just my period coming back. Last few days the bleeding became abit heavier but is bright red, had some cramping too. This morning I woke up to heavier bleeding and a large clot came out (abit smaller than a golf ball). I had no idea I could be pregnant, last had AF mid December but put the irregularity down to still breastfeeding. Called early pregnancy unit who told me to go buy a test which I will be doing shortly when I feel up to it. Any advice or thoughts please :(

@Stepstepmother It obviously does matter to OP otherwise she wouldn't be asking. Don't be so cold.

Jakc · 07/02/2020 11:57

I think it is that, I’ve had both miscarriages and casts and I’m almost certain it is a cast. I hope that’s what it is as even if you didn’t know you were pregnant it still hurts to loose it x

sarahjsdddd · 07/02/2020 12:02

Thank you for your replies, I will be going to buy a test asap. I'm hoping it was the cast too :( I will update x

I’m sorry I’m not intending to be cold but I really think my point stands. What is to be gained from buying a test? So you can retroactively get attached to a group of cells that you already know is not viable? It just makes no sense.

JacquesHammer · 07/02/2020 12:25

What is to be gained from buying a test?

Because it’s useful to know one’s fertility history? Because if any complications occur the OP would be armed with knowledge?

Whynosnowyet · 07/02/2020 12:27

I mc an intact foetus at 6 weeks along. Looked absolutely nothing like that. Agree it's a cast.

sarahjsdddd · 07/02/2020 12:28

That's what they told me to do on the phone, I panicked when I saw and rang the GP. I am worried as above about any complications obviously if it is I hope it just happens naturally

Sorry to hear that @Whynosnowyet :( I am thinking it does look more like the photos of dicidual cast so fingers crossed it is

sarahjsdddd

Flowers I’m so sorry.

Did they give you any advice if that proved to be the case?

sarahjsdddd · 07/02/2020 15:10

Thank you Biscuit
They told me to go to a&e but I don't know if that's the right thing to do

superfandango · 07/02/2020 15:13

If they’ve told you to go, it’s the right thing to do. Sorry you’re going through this OP Flowers

JacquesHammer · 07/02/2020 15:18

Yep agree with super. If that’s the advice you were given, I would follow it.

Jakc · 07/02/2020 21:15

Aww I’m sorry that was the result

JacquesHammer · 08/02/2020 14:18

How are you doing @sarahjsdddd Flowers

sarahjsdddd · 09/02/2020 10:52

Thank you everyone for the kind comments, I called 111 & they told me to go to a&e, had bloods etc & was examined, they were quite certain was a miscarriage & have to go for a scan next week to confirm. Feel quite shocked about it all but doing abit better now xx
