Miscarriage number 3

I'm devastated 💔 we've been ttc for over 2 years and are on the waiting list for ivf. Miraculously I have concieved unassisted 3 times in 12 monyhs; 2 missed miscarriages at 9 weeks and 1 chemical at 4 weeks (ish) I've purposely not allowed myself to work out how far along I was but I've started bleeding today after confirmed positive tests.

I'm already under a recurrent miscarriage clinic, luckily seeing them at the end of the month.

I just can't see any hope for the future. I thought maybe this time it would be different but my body failed me and my baby again 💔

I’m so sorry you are going through this, it’s just so hard and feels hopeless.

We had six miscarriages before our Daughter was born nearly 8 years ago now. We still think about the babies we should have had, though we are so grateful to have our DD. I remember just sitting and crying for an hour when I found out I was pregnant with her thinking it would just all go wrong again.

It does just feel so hopeless, I hope they find something that might help you.

Im sorry OP 💐

Has your clinic found anything which might be the cause?

I've lost 7 pregnancies and it doesn't get any easier - I gave up on my recurrent miscarriage clinic - They are pretty bloody useless in my opinion in that they don't want to see you till 6 weeks by which time is too late to really make a difference

Thank you @itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted we're in limbo with the hospital - saw our fertility consultant on 14 January - he diagnosed unexplained infertilty and were waiting to hear from them about funding for ivf, which he said could be up to 6 months for the consultation. But no appointments in the meantime.

I believe my initial rmc bloods are considered OK (got the fertility doctor to check as they don't contact you). My thyroid was slightly high so have been prescribed levothyroxine - not sure if it's a coincidence that I've been taking that this cycle and then concieved.

My fertility consultant said try aspirin but the rmc won't like it 🤔 I did start taking it on Saturday from my bfp / af due date. I just feel like every one is guessing!

I'm very sorry for your losses ❤️

I took aspirin on the advice of the recurrent miscarriage clinic of St Mary’s in London. I had to take it as soon as I found out I was pregnant to 36 weeks. I took 150mg a day. My daughter was born as a result of the pregnancy I took the aspirin for. It probably wasn’t the only reason, but it was the only thing I did differently. I would say it’s worth a try.

Thank you @Geekster1963 I'm pleased to hear about your daughter :) I definitely think I'll try aspirin again.

We've got our rmc appointment soon, so I have a full list of questions. I'll see how that goes but I'm strongly feeling like I want further tests so will try to see Professor Quenby for her implantation clinic. Like you @itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted, I don't have much faith in the rmc, they seemed quite dismissive when we saw them last year and then lost my blood test results so had to have them redone 🙄

Trying to feel hopeful that we will get through this.
