Is this a miscarriage?

Hi.
I’m 5 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. Had lots of cramping and stretching for best part of a week. Sunday I had some brown and pinkish discharge with mild cramps. Last night I had quite a lot of fresh red blood only when I wiped nothing has gone on to a pad. I then had a dark clot this morning. Blood has continued throughout the day only when I wipe. Has anyone else experienced this? I have a scan tomorrow and I’m petrified!

I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through this, I had the same symptoms over the weekend and it got heavier early Monday morning with bad cramps. Unfortunately I’ve miscarried. Hope you get some good news tomorrow x

I’m sorry to hear this. Hope your okay? Did you get a scan to confirm? I’ve now resulted in blood tinged clear discharge hardly any cramping or anything but sore boobs have disappeared! X

Not necessarily! I had exactly the same in most of my pregnancies and all were fine. Also about 3 weeks ago my friend called me in a right state thinking she was miscarrying. We got her into an early pregnancy scan and another week later she booked a private scan and baby is all good. She is now 14 weeks. See if your local hospital has an early pregnancy unit. Hope all is well

I’m okay, getting there. I’ve come to terms that it wasn’t my fault and just one of those things. Still feeling a bit sad but we’re okay. I didn’t get a scan, I called epu and they said they only scan from 6 weeks and I was only 5. I noticed Saturday my boobs felt back to normal and I wasn’t as tired. I was still hopeful as I had twins 7 years ago and bled a bit with them at the beginning.
