Non-consecutive miscarriages - link or luck?

Hi all,

I'm currently going through my second miscarriage (at approximately 4.5 weeks). Last one was at 11 weeks but likely stopped developing at 9 weeks. Have a 12 month old from the pregnancy in between. That pregnancy couldn't have been smoother sailing in terms of the baby's health (I had HG and low BP).

My GP isn't sure if there's a reason for this or if it's just bad luck. Routine blood tests from just 2 months ago (thyroid, diabetes, nutrients etc.) all excellent.

I'm interested to hear other people's experiences. I appreciate that everyone is different but it might give me some idea if I need further testing or if it's just the luck of the draw.

Thanks!

That’s rotten 😥

It could be just down to luck. I’ve had a mmc in between my sons and it’s rotten.

Keep your chin up and try again if and when you’re ready

Thank you @alifelived

I'm sorry to hear you went through similar. It is rotten (for both of us). This time seems easier in some ways as I have my little boy already, but it's harder in another way as I am more worried there is an issue.

But I'm trying to stay positive and will try again as soon as I can.
