Just looking to see if anyone has been through the same...got bfp last week at 14dpo, bled same day (af type bleeding for 3 days), assumed it was a chemical pregnancy. I then tested after bleeding stopped and got bfp’s on frers, ic, and cb digital. Went to EPU this Monday and they scanned (only 5 weeks according to dates so did internal scan). Nurse said nothing in uterus and diagnosed as ‘pregnancy of unknown location’ but most likely early miscarriage. I was sent for blood tests on the same day and also weds (yesterday) so that they could compare levels. I bled last night again but only heavy for around an hour which has turned into pink spotting. I was called today and told that my progesterone level is 1 and hcg level was 147 but had doubled by Wednesday. I’ve now got to repeat tests tomorrow and will get a phone call from the doctor on Saturday to discuss a ‘plan’. Has anyone else gone though this? I would be grateful to hear of any similar experiences x

Also to add, I haven’t had any ectopic symptoms as yet. I also am still get bfp’s daily. No other symptoms other than backache and very very mild cramps. Does this sound like a slow miscarriage?

Hi

Are the BFP lines getting stronger? Or the CB digi going up in weeks.

I will be honest with you. That HCG level is pretty low so i would prepare for the worst.
Ive had 2 CP, first one i didnt find out until i was 6 weeks, my HCG level was around 180.
The 2nd one was last month.

Good luck and sorry i couldn't be more positive. Xx

@softscoop35 I’m using cheapies daily now and they pretty much look the same everyday - not fully dark but still a line, pic attached. I stopped using the digitals as I was spending a fortune! I am fully prepared for it to be classed as a chemical/early mc and have accepted that in my head, I am more scared for it to be prolonged or ectopic. Best case scenario based on my levels would be for the mc to ‘finish’ I think.

Thank you for your reply, I really appreciate your honesty. Sorry to hear about your cp’s Xx

Hey.

I have no history of ectopics but i will say that that pregnancy test pretty much looked like mine in my CP. The lines were there, but were never as strong as the control line, this is why i knew it was a CP.
Im not sure with an ectopic if the line would be darker at this point.

Me personally, i would think this is deffo a CP rather than ectopic.

Im sorry you are having to go through this, it really is crap!

@softscoop35 that’s what I was thinking, I’ve always had faint but clear lines since getting 1st bfp. Thanks again Smile

@MrsS123 are you still under care of epu? Ive just finished treatment for my pul which turned kut to be ectopic. I had very little symptoms, jusf mild spotting, back pain and a mild niggling in my side. I was 7 weeks.
I also had 2 miscarriages which had really mild symptoms.

@MrsS123 sorry posted too soon....
Fingers crossed you get answers but right now there are many options - just may be slow growing x

MrsS123 · 17/12/2019 09:44

@dottyp0104 I went for another scan yesterday as they classed me as 84% chance ectopic. Luckily, my tubes and ovaries are clear and a small gestational sac is in the right place, but based on my progesterone and hcg levels, it is not likely to be viable. I am booked in for another scan on Monday to see if there has been any growth, if not, to discuss options. I am sorry to hear about your ectopic & mc’s xx
