Hey! Just looking for some advice, I found out I was pregnant with my 2nd early September. And on November the 11th I was told our baby had sadly stopped growing. This happened to me in my first pregnancy and was PG after 4 months.
I didn't start trying straight away after the first but this time I am keen, I feel like me my husband and my son have lost this time round.
I've been taking ovulating test.
On Friday the 22nd I got a smiley face saying I was ovulating, on Saturday I got an empty circle, on Sunday I got a smiley Face, then on Monday and Tuesday two empty ones!? I'm so confused could I of been ovulating those days?
Has this happened to anyone and has anyone got PG after the surgery before period? Help 😫 xx

Hello I am in a similar position, however had medical management rather than the surgery. I had a missed miscarriage on the 4th November at 10weeks and had medical management, on Friday 22nd did a negative pregnancy test and we have started trying straight after we got the negative test. I had taken a clear blue ovulation test and for 4 consecutive days got the circle (prior to negative test), then for the last 4days the flashing smiley face, the this afternoon the circle again (though this was starting a new pack of the ovulation tests and using the new reader so I’m unsure if that makes a difference). Would be good to talk to people that have gone through the same as I’m currently struggling with waves of sadness and hoping to get pregnant again ASAP. Unsure if too early to use ovulation tests? Xxxx

This is what I'm thinking - maybe it takes a while for our bodies to get back to normal.
I'm just really eager to be pregnant again!
I'm taking the clear blue digital, I've bought the little mini strip ones today today and they are negative, I'm not sure If I even have ovulated yet I'm so confused. I think I might test every day. It's coming up to 2 weeks since my surgery. I'm exactly the same, I'm sad, then angry, then sad. Mixture of emotions- we took our reveal pics in Cornwall back in October and I keep looking at them ! Xxxxx

Have you done a negative pregnancy test yet? I haven't bought any of the strip ovulation tests but am slightly conscious I don't want to become obsessed and need to let things happen when they happen. I have been using the same clear blue one everyday but though I would be supposed to have the static smiley face after 4 flashing days...
It's good to talk to someone in a similar situation as I have been reading so much online about different opinions when it is best to try again xx

albiemum · 27/11/2019 09:13

Yeah I have had a negative pregnancy test, but I'm not sure if it was negative before my first ovulating test so do you think this could be a bit of pregnancy hormone picking up?
It's so confusing isn't it, the first time it happened to me I don't remember being this confused!
Yeah your right ! I'm getting so obsessive now it musnt be healthy ! Keep me posted with your situation it's nice to hear other stories xxxx

@Peach7744 @albiemum

Hello both, so sorry to hear about what you've both been going through - I also had a miscarriage in September and also keen to try again.

I just wanted to message about the ovulation tests - if you're using the clearblue one then it works by tracking a pattern in your hormone levels, so it's important to keep using the same test holder throughout the same cycle (if you run out of sticks then you would need to buy a new pack, but use them with your original holder).

It took me 9 weeks to get my period again after the surgery and I have actually carried on getting faint positive tests afterwards (now almost 12 weeks later), but I have also been using the clearblue ovulation test this cycle and appear to have ovulated, so it seems to be possible even with pregnancy hormones still at detectable levels.

I really hope you both are able to conceive again soon and that it's a happier outcome, I'm hoping for the same. Flowers

That's really interesting. I have been using a new reader for the last two days as ran out of sticks for the last one so thought I needed to throw it away . Do you think I may have got a different result if I had continued with the old reader but new sticks? I have had flashing face now for 5 days (three with old reader, two with new)
I don't know if any of that makes any sense!

I really hope it happens again soon for us all ❤️

sunshinefordays · 28/11/2019 20:56

@Peach7744 - yes I think that's right! I called the Clearblue helpline to check as I was going to run out of sticks, and she explained that's how they work, by detecting the surge pattern. So if your hormone levels had started to rise on the day you started using the new sticks that could have probably confused your results. Hope you figure out what is going on with your cycle soon :)

I really hope that too!

Hey .. have any of you had any news?
I went for a scan yesterday, she said it looked like I was about to ovulate so the previous post would of been my HGC levels xxx

I have had a period and am now day 12 of my cycle. I have been using clear blue ovulation tests every day and have had flashing smile every day but no static yet. Have dtd every other day. My period should be due again on the 28th December Massively hoping that December is a lucky month! Are you using ovulation sticks too? Xx

albiemum · 11/12/2019 20:57

Yeah I was doing and I was the same! Flashing smileys, for 6 days, then went for a private scan yesterday and she saw I was about to ovulate so Youl get your static soon! Fingers crossed!! Xxxxx

That really good news, hopefully will be really good news for you :) when will your af be due? When will you be testing? X

albiemum · 11/12/2019 21:54

She said it looks like my period will be coming within the next 2 weeks, so wel see 🙈
I'm going back for another scan next week, see if my womb is thickening each day, my younger sisters just told me she's pregnant- seems to be everyone around you after a loss ! Xxxx

Have you been trying to conceive this month? Yeah I know I feel exactly the same, it seems wherever I go there are babies and pregnant people. I have three work colleagues who are all pregnant which I am struggling with, it will be our time though. That's really tough with your sister, my step sister is pregnant and due about 2 weeks after I should have been, I haven't seen her yet but if I'm honest don't think I want to (which sounds terrible I know!)
I have started having acupuncture, which I know isn't everyone's Cup of tea but it's the first time I felt calm and slept properly since my miscarriage. I would recommend it! X

albiemum · 12/12/2019 10:44

Yeah I've been trying I feel like being pregnant is the only way it will 'fix' me kind of thing.
I know it's really hard, I should of been pregnant at Christmas in the family 😔
I know exactly what you mean, me and my best friend found out the same day we was pregnant & she's going on to have a little girl, it's like omg that should be me. Took me a while to see her but when I did she was just as upset as me!
Fingers crossed we get our happiness soon! 🤞 xxxx

@albiemum I've only just seen your message, that's crap, hopefully means your body is getting back to normal though, that's how I tried to put a 'positive' when I got mine after my miscarriage 💔. I had my work Christmas party on Friday and got asked twice if I was pregnant again because I was driving so didn't drink.... ended in me having a panic attack. People don't seem to really understand thinking before they speak! X

Peach7744 · 18/01/2020 15:08

Hello, just wondered how you are getting on this cycle? X

albiemum · 19/01/2020 10:29

Hey! So I'm really late, just took two tests and it's thrown me, there's a line on one, and one says 'not pregnant' !!?? Xxxx
