Hi ladies,
I’m wondering if anyone can shed some light for me 😊
I had an early scan last week (due to previous miscarriages) and sadly found out I had had a MMC. I opted for medical management. I’ve had an D&C in the past and hated how I felt after..
Anyway,
I went to the hospital yesterday and had the procedure. Bleeding started roughly 1-2hrs later but got a hell of a lot heavier over the course of a few hours (sorry for TMI, lost large clots and filled 3 pads within 1hr ) thankfully, I had little cramping By 10pm, the bleeding had slowed right down and I went to bed.
I woke up today, expecting to have bled heavily again but nothing!?
Each time I wipe after going to the toilet, there is a small amount of blood but it’s mainly a light brown.
Is this normal to have next to no bleeding the next day? I was told to expect bleeding for 2 weeks šŸ¤”

Thank you for reading and sorry for rambling xx

I’m sorry, Nairobi, it’s a horrible thing to go through.

But that is what I experienced too. I was using panty liners rather than pads by day 3 for about two and a half weeks. It was just very light spotting. I had a check up at two weeks and was told that was normal (or at least, one of many versions of normal).

Thank you for replying!
I did worry slightly but on the other hand, I was somewhat relieved to not be bleeding excessively anymore! You’ve eased my mind a lot. Thank you again ā˜ŗļø

I’ve had 4 MMC and D&Cs. After the first three, the blood loss was minimal. This time round (very recent) I bled quite profusely at the beginning (many large clots) and it’s only today (2.5 weeks later) that my pad has been clean all day.

I think each MMC is individual so as long as you’re feeling that you’re getting back to normal, you’re getting your strength back and you feel well within yourself, I wouldn’t worry. Sorry for your loss. Hope you’re OK Flowers

I’m sorry for your loss ErnestJones, I hope you are okay?
After my D&C (10 years ago) I bled heavily for about 2 weeks I think šŸ¤” so I expected the same after the tablets.
I feel absolutely whacked and drained but weirdly, I feel very at peace with it all now it’s over and done with. I know that sounds awful šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø
I think I may have grown slightly resilient xx
