Very confused - 6 weeks miscarriage

Hello Everyone

I'm both confused and heartbroken and I hope someone may have an experience to share.

Two weeks ago, when I was 6 weeks and a few days I started bleeding so I went to the EPU. First pregnancy.
There the doctor did a scan a repeatedly said he was not optimistic because the baby was very small and the uterine wall very thin. He explained that I would continue bleeding, pass clots and gave me an appointment for next week to check.

I bled steadily for a week. Period style. No clots and not particularly heavy and now it stopped completely. Pregnancy test continues to be positive.

I'm worried that I may actually be still pregnant and clearly something is wrong because I have zero symptoms and I did bleed steadily for a week. I'm worried that I didn't fully miscarry.

I try to educate myself but it's so hard and I going out of my mind waiting for a whole week and knowing that the NhS isn't particularly generous in terms of time spent and explanation. (No offense, i'm foreign and used to a different kind of care)

What is happening to me??

I would go back to your GP and request further investigations. Maybe a possibility that you had twins and have lost just 1? It is hard to tell on a 6 week scan what is visible and what isn't and has been known for a fetus to be hidden at that early stage. Really hope this is the case for you and not the worst. Good luck x
