Chemical Pregnancy

So i found out i was pregnant 4 days before i was due on and was so excited as we were trying for our 3rd baby (i already have 2 girls). The pregnancy was confirmed by 4 pregnancy tests!! Last night the worst happened and I began bleeding at first mild spotting but come the morning i was bleeding quite heavily and similar to a normal period. I rang my doctors surgery and was given an appointment. Today would have been 4 weeks 5 days. When i saw my doctor i can honestly say I have never met anyone so insensitive in my life. She began asking all of my dates which i explained, she already questioned that i had found out so early but proceeded to explain 4 tests had confirmed the pregnancy not just on the same day but leading up to the day i was expecting my period. She asked if i had brought a sample with me which was the last thing on my mind and was sent off to do one. When i returned she dipped and dropped a sample onto a pregnancy test which she waited all of 20 seconds for the results before turning to me and saying you were never pregnant its negative just keep trying for a baby. I left that surgery stunned and confused. I immediately went to the local shop and purchased 2 pregnancy tests which have come back positive however barely visible now which leads me to think thats my hormones now decreasing.

I havent called back the surgery i just want this whole situation to go away but I've been left with no advice and unsure of next steps. Has anyone else experienced this, how long did the cramping and feeling sick last? Is there anything I need yo do?

I appreciate any responses

I have just had a really similar experience. I was delighted to find I was unexpectedly pregnant with our third baby, but three days later I stated to bleed like a period. I felt horrendously nauseous for two days and couldn’t sleep at all which was awful and I felt so horrible head to toe, then the next three days were more like a normal period and I could sleep again. I was a day shy of six weeks. The doctor told me I couldn’t have been pregnant, but I also had taken two tests - one digital - and both were positive but by the time I started bleeding, my urine tested negative at the doctors. I didn’t really get any advice either; he agreed to a blood test for me which I got done for beta hcg on day 4 of the bleeding, but the results haven’t shown up almost two weeks later. I was worried in case the pregnancy was ectopic or something but I think it was a chemical pregnancy as now I feel physically “normal” in that the nausea is gone and the bleeding ended after 5 days like normal period. Emotionally and mentally I feel all over the place.

How are you feeling? I’m so sorry this has happened to you too. It’s really shit.

Im so sorry to hear that.

I'm on day three now and physically still aching. Im suffering headaches, cramps and of course the bleeding which i must say has now started to ease a little.

My head is all over the place, i was so angry and confused with the doctor but i am so glad i took 2 more tests after my visit to confirm i weren't crazy, both had faint positive lines and clearly my levels were dropping.

I darent go back to the doctors, i just have no trust in them so I am trying to get through it with support of those around me and I will do another test near the end of next week to confirm a negative and that my levels are 0.

Im so sad to hear someone else got this treatment, and in the same situation trying for a third baby.

How long after are you now? X
