Should I try again after 2 missed miscarriage

Hi had my thirst miscarriage in may this yeah and my second in July I had one period in between want to try again but I’m scared to death. Has anyone got any successful stories after 2 miscarriage

I'm in the same boat as you, two MCs and probably back to TTC soon.

I've read many positive outcomes so I'm sure it's possible - we will have to keep trying!

Yes. I had two in a year when my first child was 12 months old. I then decided that we would have only one child, only to discover I was pregnant again with my son.

Currently feeding my 7 week old after 2 miscarriages, I know it's hard but I'm glad we tried again. I do think if it had happened again I would have stopped trying though as I found it all emotionally exhausting. I think if you feel able then it's worth trying again, self care is hugely important though and I had a rest between each pregnancy, took time out from thinking about it and got myself some good vitamins as I felt pretty drained after each one. Take your time and go with what you feel able to xxx

Yes, i had my son after 2 miscarriages in 4 months. I'm currently pregnant with my second child and had no MCs this time.

As harsh as it sounds, often tiny mistakes are made at the moment the sperm meets the egg which mean that "recipe" just isn't right to make a baby. So many things have to be just right for a baby to grow. It's nothing that you or anyone else can control sadly. No reason why it would'nt be third time lucky for you.

I had a missed miscarriage followed quickly by an ectopic pregnancy.

Third time lucky I got my eldest dd. Then I couldn’t fall pg again for years and needed clomid. After a 4+ years gap dd2 came along. Love her but life would have been easier sticking with just one child , she has a learning disability and is bipolar. I will never not be her carer and dread to think would will happen to her after I die.

This thread has given me a little hope. I'm currently going through my second miscarriage. I lost my first pregnancy when I started to bleed just before 6 weeks. We tried again straight away and I fell pregnant for the second time in August.

I went for an early scan when I was 7 weeks because I was having left sided pelvic pain. Baby was measuring a week smaller than I'd thought but we saw the heart beat flickering away. It was amazing to see and made me feel so much better about things. They said the pain was just my uterus stretching out.

I was 10 weeks on Tuesday, all seemed to be well. I had strong pregnancy symptoms, still do today. We went for a private scan on Tuesday evening for some reassurance that everything was ok. I had my 12 week scan booked for the 8th November and couldn't wait to get to this milestone so I could relax and tell people.

The scan on Tuesday showed no heart beat and that the baby hadn't grown past 6 weeks. I was devastated. I called the NHS early pregnancy unit yesterday and they said they couldn't scan me until today. They said I've had a missed miscarriage and gave me options to 'manage' my pregnancy. I've opted for a medical intervention and have that booked on Friday but I'm terrified. Has anyone had this done? I've read about it on the miscarriage association website, it sounds like it's going to be painful and upsetting. I'd be grateful to hear of anyone else's experience xx

Definitely try again - I had multiple MC but now have two children ages 11&7 - just persevered and dealt with the sorrow by focusing on getting a BFP - if you happen to have another then ask your GP for a referral to hospital - I had this support and a miscarriage expert too who put me on quarter aspirin and high dose folic acid, and lots of early scans when pregnant

Currently holding my 7 week old after several MMCs. This one finally 'stuck' after taking 75g of aspirin everyday past ovulation until 12 weeks pregnant. With speaking to someone about as I've since found out loads of people have this issue and asprin often helps

@Lemonade85 I've had medical management as I didn't want to miscarry at work and wanted it over and done with. It was fine, GA so had a lovely sleep, had a few period pains afterwards but nothing a neurofen didn't help and very little bleeding afterwards.

Yes, I had a child then two miscarriages then another child. It’s horrible trying again and leaving yourself vulnerable like that, but I really would keep trying. Sadly, pregnancies miscarry more frequently than we expect because we do rarely talk about it. Good luck

I had 2 miscarriages then went on to have DD who is now 18 months. I am currently going through my 3rd miscarriage but will be trying again. I'm not ready to accept not having a 2nd.

I'm going to see my GP today. I want followed very closely with the next pregnancy, and the Aaron sounds like it helps. I'll ask the GP about that today too. I was told by early pregnancy last time that they don't refer you on to a specialist until you've had 3 miscarriages. That's so harsh I feel, like 1 or 2 heartbreaks isn't enough xx

Aspirin, not Arron

Two MC is really tough to deal with - more difficult to accept the 'just unlucky' line but nobody will investigate until you've had three. I had 4 losses in total before I had a proper diagnosis and treatment from the implantation clinic at Coventry, the NHS investigations didn't find anything. It's really tough opening yourself up to being in that vulnerable position again, but most people will have a successful pregnancy if they keep trying. The recurrent miscarriage threads on here are very supportive and helpful. Good luck OP!
