I'm sharing this in case it helps anyone else going through this

I found out in July I was pregnant. As Im getting on a bit I was delighted but apprehensive. I was very happy to get to 7 weeks but didn't tell anyone other than dh

Sadly then started bleeding just before I went on holiday.. it eased off for a few days and then got heavier like a period but I had no cramps or pain

I was sad as I was sure I had miscarried but thought I would wait until I got home from holiday and carried on as best I could

On return from holiday I and a scan and they confirmed there was nothing in the uterus. They also took bloods as a precautionary measure

They asked me to repeat the blood tests but were pretty sure it was a miscarriage. I didn't really want to repeat the bloods as was at work
so asked if i could come another time. They said ok.

That night I got a call to say that the hcg level aa v high! i then repeated the test and went to work which is a long commute away. When i got there i had a call from the hospital asking if i could come in right away. i left work and then was scanned where they saw a mass in my fallopian tube. i was admitted for an emergency op and removal if the pregnancy and tube

i know ive been very lucky but i feel like if i hadnt got the scan i might have died.

urging you to ensure that ectopics do not go untreated
