Hi so I had a miscarriage last week I was 5 weeks and over the last couple of days since I have been back at work (I'm a cleaner) I have had this really dull aching and painful sensation in my back at the bottom but more too one side. I'm just wondering if anyone else felt pain for so long. I'm worried I might need to go back to the doctors but I can't afford any more time off

OP, you should get it checked, it might be that you have an incomplete miscarriage or an infection (the latter is a serious matter and you should not ignore this). Impossible to tell, you need to see your doctor though. Sorry for your loss and hope you feel physically better soon X

I agree you need medical care urgently. I’d go to A&E tonight if I were you. It could be retained products, a separate ectopic pregnancy, a kidney infection, or any of a range of complications that could be addressed rapidly or could deteriorate into something much more serious if not looked at.

I’m really sorry about your loss, and I understand the difficulty with time off work etc but complications of a miscarriage can have extremely serious health implications for you. Please get medical help, and soon.

I urge you to visit the A&E department, if not then Early Pregnancy Unit. This could either be an incomplete miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy which needs immediate medical attention. Do not delay!

If you have any symptoms such as pain in your shoulder, heavy bleeding, pain on one side, abdomen tenderness.. if your mind is telling you something is wrong, then GO! Let us know how you get on!

Remember: there's also a likelihood that it is m absolutely nothing. Always better to be safe than sorry.
