On August 30th I was having painful cramping went to the bathroom and noticed bleeding. Me and my boyfriend went to the hospital and the next day we had a confirmed miscarriage and that the baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks.
The doctors and nurses didn’t provide me with a lot of information I was told it would be like a heavy period for 2 weeks. I was given the option of taking pills to speed things along but I felt my body had already recognized and was taking care of it itself.
On September 4th at about 10pm I began having extreme cramps which felt just like contraction cramps when I was in labour with my daughter years ago. I went to the bathroom and passed three really large clots that were the size of my with extremely heavy bleeding. I lost a lot of blood and felt very lightheaded.
For the next couple of days I had heavy bleeding and I was passing smaller clots I went and got my blood tested again on Thursday and was told my levels dropped down to 1000 that same night I was having extremely bad contraction feelings and passed another clot the size of my palm.
Since Thursday the bleeding has started to become less heavy but it’s still bright red I haven’t passed any small clots since Sunday night. I go for more blood work on Thursday but the waiting is driving me nuts I just want to be done.
Does this seem like my miscarriage is coming to an end? How long does the bleeding usually last? Any help or your experiences would be greatly appreciated. This is my first miscarriage and it is very confusing and a sad time.
