Shorter first period after erpc?

Hello ladies

I had medical management for a mc in june. I had retaining products so had to have another round medical management. After that I had a scan which showed a small bit of tissue left which had a blood supply to it.

I then had to resort to a erpc.
I ovulated as normal around my usual time. I came on my period on the day I expected it but its alot lighter than you usual.

I'm on day 3 today and it looks like it will be finishing today. My periods are usually 6/7 days. So this is very short.

I am so worried about ashermans syndrome -scarring.

Has anyone had shorter/lighter first period after erpc and everything was ok?

Hi, I've had 3 erpcs and I too have noticed my period a lot lighter and lasting shorter than it used to. After my recent missed miscarriage I was referred to the miscarriage clinic and I told the consultant who said It would be worth me trying luteal phase projesterone as it sounds like I don't always have high levels of projesterone during my luteal phase, this was also found from tests I had at my gp and also because I have quite light periods.

Hi Laura thanks for replying.

Did you have a short luteal phase, is that why they were suggesting your progesterone levels may be low? My luteal phase is textbook 14 days even still after my mc.
It's just the actual flow length I'm worried about.
Mine were 6/7 days and this first period after the erpc has only been 2 days of flow with a 3rd day of light spotting.

Its scared me tbh. My mind has jumped straight to scarring. Did the consultant mention scarring to you?

@cc34477 had day 21 blood test done by my gp cause I was worried I wasn't ovulating and I was too worried about Ashermans syndrome but she didn't seem concerned then I got pregnant but that ended as a MMC then I was referred to the clinic where I had all kinds of blood tests done and at the time my menstrual bloods were normal and my day 21 projesterone was at a ovulatory level of 50. To be quite honest I'd never really taken any real notice of how long my luteal phase is until having all this done. She seemed to think I did as I'd mentioned my period being light and only lasting 3 days so said it might be worth the projesterone pessaries, I've been using them 3 month's and also to start using them if I get a positive pregnancy test up until something like 16 weeks. I've read with a erpc that it can take little bit of time for the lining to build up again. Can't recall the consultant saying anything about scarring but something I did find out is that they perform the op blind. I did have a follow up scan with the recent miscarriage. Would it worthwhile discussing your concerns with your GP/hospital.
