Ectopic Pregnancy: is bleeding normal?

Hi everyone

Unfortunately I've suffered an ectopic pregnancy which required surgery and they also had to cut out a bit of my womb as it had embedded between the muscular wall and fallopian tube. I am feeling much better 6 days after surgery, I am still aching but I am much better but one thing that is nagging me slightly is vaginal bleeding. I am not bleeding onto my pad as such, but I only bleed once I sit on the toilet.

I go for a wee as normal and then blood will just randomly come out which takes 1-2 toilet paper to clear it. It is bright red blood, looks like fresh blood! This has been ongoing for 3 days now. The consultant said bleeding is to be expected but they discharged me the next morning after I had surgery in the evening the day before so I didn't get any instructions or anything.

It just says if I'm filling a pad per hour (I'm not), if I have a temperature or abdominal pain (no to both), then go A&E so I don't think it is an emergency. Just a PITA!

Would you say this is OK? It's not classed as hemmorhaging is it if it's fresh blood? I'm worried that whatever they used to close a portion of my womb with has come away or not been done properly hence the bleeding :( I really don't want to have anymore surgery!
