13 weeks after MMC

I had a D&C 13 weeks ago after finding out I'd had a MMC at my 12 week scan (baby measured 8+4). My hcg levels went back to the normal 'non pregnant' levels after 6 weeks (confirmed by blood test) and I had a light 3 day bleed 9 weeks after D&C.

Does anyone know if the light bleed could have been my period? Just wondered what other peoples experiences of 1st period after D&C was like. I just thought that it might be light as there's no build up or anything. Sorry if too much information but it started off as really dark blood, then bright red then pink. No cramps really but really bad lower back ache.

I have an average of a 38 day cycle. I would have ovulated last week and AF should be due at the end of this month, assuming I'm not pregnant (6dpo in theory) but not knowing if I've actually had a period or not is driving me mad!

Wish I could help more but I want to know how quick other people experienced a period. I've had a slightly unusual experience in which I also had an MMC 9.5 weeks (sac measured 6.5 weeks). I had medical management with tablets on 25th July and a lot of bleeding issues. I've ended up having surgery yesterday because of retained product and still getting a faint positive pregnancy test. I think the doctor said 4 to 6 weeks I should get a period but I can't remember.

It sounds as though what you had was a period to me. Have you had a negative test? I think as long as your hcg is gone your body can then have a period definitely. good luck lovely xx
