Hi

I would of been 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow but I started bleeding yesterday. It started off light but as the day went on I got severe cramps and passed what looked like sac.

Today I have been bleeding heavily and I'm feeling so low in my mood. I can't stop crying.

I have a scan arranged for Friday but I already know the pregnancy is lost. Is it worth while keeping the appointment so they can see if all of the tissue has come away? I'm worried it the bleeding keeps up at this rate I'll start to feel unwell.

Thanks

Hi. Sorry for your loss Flowers

It might be too early for the scan on Friday of it's only started yesterday. You might bleed for 1-2 weeks and that's perfectly normal, sometimes the bleeding takes even a bit longer than that. However, if it is very heavy to the point you're not feeling well, you should go to your Early Pregnancy Unit. I'm sorry Flowers

Hi @HappyHappySunshine

I've just experienced the same as you. I'm 5 + 3 today and had bleeding, cramps and tissue as you've described.
I had a scan this morning at the EPU and they couldn't see a sac on the scan.
My pregnancy was via an IVF donor cycle and the IVF clinic have told me that I need to disregard my reduced symptoms and scan and continue with all my meds until I've the results of two HCG tests (one done today and a repeat on Monday). They're of the belief that it may just be normal bleeding and too early to see the pregnancy on US. I'm very body aware and confident I've miscarried so finding their positivity difficult.
Did you go to your scan on Friday?x

HappyHappySunshine · 17/08/2019 20:00

Yes, I went for the scan. It showed that my uterus was filled with fluid, but no sac. It was what I was expecting but still hard to be faced with the reality of it.

It sounds like you're going through a hard time too. Try to stay positive if you can, I know that's easier said than done. When do you have your follow up appointment? I'll keep everything crossed for you 🤞🏼 Let me know how you get on xxx

I'm so sorry. There are just no words. I hope you recover quickly.xx

Mine today showed fluid too (she said pooled blood). I have to call the clinic on Tuesday afternoon and get the HCG results from Sat and Mon. I'd imagine if it's rising (which I'm fairly confident it's not going by my lack of previous symptoms) they'd have me back straight away for another scan.
Back to the waiting!x

HappyHappySunshine · 17/08/2019 20:29

The waiting is the hardest part! I hope the time passes quickly for you so you're not in limbo for too long.

She didn't say what my fluid was. I've stopped bleeding now so not sure what it will be, unless there's more bleeding to come 🙈

Look after yourself Huni xx

Managed to get my results back early. My BHCG was 212 on Saturday and 40 today. The EPU confirmed a complete miscarriage.
I hope you're holding up ok. I'm just starting along the road of piecing myself back together.x
