First period after MMC

Hi, I was just wondering how long it took for your first period to come after a MMC? I was told it should be about 4-6 weeks but mine seems to be here today so just over 3 weeks. Did anyone else have one as early? And also the bleeding is quite weird it's heavy but also sticky almost like mucus which I don't usually have, did anyone else experience anything like this? Can't wait for things to get back to normal!

I’m experiencing the same thing at the moment, it’s not light bleeding but it’s not like a period either. I freaked out and took two pregnancy tests just to make sure it was definitely negative. To be honest the miscarriage wasn’t what I expected either, the nurse said I would be passing clots the size of cottonwood balls and I didn’t have that. I’ve been feeling unsure if it’s really over or not. Are you feeling the same?

@Saege001 well today it seems to be a full on heavy period I've got really painful cramps too so I guess it just came earlier than I thought it would.
Oh my miscarriage was crazy I had clots the size of my fist that went on for hours I ended up haemorrhage bleeding and in hospital with a blood transfusion I've never seen anything like it in my life and also ended up having a D&C as it was incomplete. So I'm sure mine is definitely over..I hope so.
I'm sure if the tests are negative then it means it's over.how long ago was yours? Hope your doing ok.
