Prednisolone after recurrent miscarriage

Hi, after 8 miscarriages I have been prescribed prednisolone and clexane in my current pregnancy. I am currently 8 weeks but wanted to hear if any of you have had success with these medications, and also how long you took the prednisolone for as my doctor hasn't told me when to stop and have discharged me to gp. Thanks x

Hi. I had 5 miscarriages. I took prednisone after miscarriage #3 (alongside other drugs). I was on it for 12 weeks. I have birth to my much longed DS in December.
You need to make sure that you wean yourself off prednisone as if you were to stop abruptly you could make yourself very sick. Make sure that you speak to your doctor.

Yes, I took prednisolone as part of the high NK cell protocol under Mr Shehata following two MC's. Also took aspirin, pessaries and drips.

It was successful and I went back on to follow the same protocol for DC2 also successful.

The prednisolone tastes foul to drink it with some orange juice. And tapering off is a must.

I stopped taking it fully after 16 weeks.

Thanks Ladies for the replies. Well fingers crossed it appears to be helping because I'm currently 9 weeks, which I'd further than my other pregnancies which all ended around 6 and a half weeks. Did you all start your weaning at 12 weeks? And how much were you on? My gp has prescribed it but worryingly has no idea when I should stop as he did it on the recommendation of a fertility doctor I'm no longer with xx
