Period after ERPC

I had an ERPC last Friday, so it has been just over a week. I had bleeding that night and over last weekend but generally had nothing this week. Today I have felt extra emotional and have been very bloated the last few days (but I have been up and down in general since my miscarriage). Then just now, when I wiped I had a small amount of blood. Is this still from the ERPC? Surely it's too soon for my period to come back already? Just wondering what other peoples experiences were like post ERPC in relation to bleeding/periods etc.

Hi, I'm sorry for your loss. I got my period 4 weeks after surgery, but I had bleeding for 3 weeks afterwards the procedure. It probably depends on how soon your body recognises it's no longer pregnant and also things can be a bit different period wise for a while. I've just found out I've had another missed miscarriage and going in for surgery tomorrow 😥

Thank you for your reply! Yes I think I was expecting to have more bleeding after the surgery, but I guess I can count myself lucky in that respect. I am so sorry to hear that you are going through it all again, I can only imagine how much harder it is both physically and mentally the second time around. I hope the surgery goes ok, and you can begin to recover ASAP. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way.
