Baby is measuring small
7

Hopefull123 · 16/07/2019 16:43

Hi, I am hoping if someone can please give me some advice. I am 6weeks and 5days pregnant. I started spotting 4 days ago on Saturday (Brownish discharge and would go to pinkish colour) and have been getting mild cramps. I had a scan last week and and was dated 5weeks5days. Saw a good strong heartbeat and everything looked good. But since I have been spotting and mild cramping I had talked to my GP who sent me to A&E as the bleeding had been going on for 3 days. There I had another scan done last night where they said the baby was only measuring at about 6 weeks and the heartbeat was 100BPM, not as strong as they would like it to be. So I have to go back in 2 weeks time for another scan. The bleeding is still ongoing, it is lighter than a period but is heavier than spotting and the cramps feel like a period. I am so so upset and I don't know should I be preparing for the worst. I have taken a few days from work and I don't know how I can cope for the next 2 weeks of not knowing.
Please has someone had a similar experience or any advice for me on this?? :-(

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I hope you're okay ❤️ I went through a similar experience back in May. Went for my 12 week scan back but baby was only measuring 9+2 which was a little less than we were expecting. They booked me in for another scan a week later but I lost our baby 2 days after the original scan 😭 I had a d&c (which I know you don't even want to think about but I would recommend) and instantly felt better as no waiting around and no more pain. I'm so sorry that this has happened to you and I hope that things turn around. All my love xx

Thank you for your message, it really means a lot. I lost my baby naturally today, not long after posting this the bleeding became much heavier and the pain was very intense. I can safely say it was the worst experience I have ever gone through. I could visibly see the baby as it passed and I am devastated. I cannot stop crying. I am so upset and I don't know how long it will take before I feel anyway normal again Sad This was my second miscarriage and I hope I never have to go through it again. X

My heart really goes out to you. This is the worst bit, if you can make it through the next few days I promise you, you will be ok. It's so cruel and unfair, especially as it's not your first. When you feel up to it I would go back to your GP and ask for some basic tests although you may get some pushback for the specialist ones I found my GP incredibly supportive and willing to help. Take care of yourself Thanks

Thank you guys for your messages, it really means a lot Flowers I have spoken to close friends but all I keep hearing is how it wasn't my time. And maybe it wasn't but I just don't know how to feel. I have cried and cried and now just feel so numb. I am so glad I posted this and am hearing from people who have been in similar situations, makes me feel not so alone Flowers And I am so sorry this has happened to you guys also, it is such an awful thing to go through xx
