So I went for a scan Friday I'm nearly 9 weeks and she said it looks like baby stopped growing around 5 weeks she's referred me to EPU which I'm going tomorrow, I've had no bleeding but today I've got like lower period pains, I just wondered if anyone knew if the worst had happened at which point will baby come away naturally ?
I'm constantly going to the toilet to check, could these pains mean that it's going to happen soon ?
I'm just about to start a 12 hour shift and I feel completely on edge xx

From my experience (but please mind everyone is different and you're the only one that knows your own body!), you'd start feeling very strong cramps that will then change to contractions and it will be pretty clear you need to go to the toilet and stay there. I'd say as soon as you start bleeding it might be sensible to ask someone to come and get you just in case - it's unlikely it will be super quick but you definitely want to be as comfortable as you can be. Take care and sorry you're going through this. If you're not comfortable going to work, don't, it is a really tough time and your employer ought to allow you time off if you're going through this xxx

How are you doing today SamRwl? My experience (following a MMC at 11 weeks discovered at the 12 week scan) was that I just had mild cramps and a little bit of bleeding prior to the surgical management which was booked for the next week. It's possible that you will spontaneously miscarriage naturally though, so you need to prepare for that. If you're able to stay off work then personally I would. Flowers

Sorry your going through this xx

I had a MMC at 6/8 weeks started bleeding 4 weeks later day before 12 week scan.

Bleed for 1 week then tried medical management twice neither worked for me. Was booked into the hospital for the op. Best choice.
Very scared never been to hospital before was in and out the same day then to rest. Very well looked after.
Bleed for 2 weeks after the op then all settled down after than. Period returned following month.
This is my story, I wish you all the best xx
