When will I start bleeding?

Hi,
I had a scan with the EPU on Tuesday. They found nothing in my womb or fallopian tubes (I thought I was around 7 weeks). They also tested my bloods and confirmed miscarriage as my levels had dropped from 775 on Friday, to 220 on Tuesday.

When will I start bleeding?
I am having some pre-period style discomfort (not even as much as a cramp, per se) and some light brown discharge. Not bleeding yet.

I feel like I'm just waiting around for an inevitable horrible thing. The midwife said she expected I wouldn't bleed much because there wasn't much in my womb. I don't really know what she means by this - will I bleed at all? Or will it be more like a light period?

Hi, I'm really sorry for your loss, a MMC is never easy. I found out at 12 week scan that baby stopped growing at 7 weeks. Heavy bleeding started 9 days after scan and d&c 11 days after scan due to bleeding and clots. I had light spotting from 5 weeks until the heavy bleeding.

It varies from one person to the next but if you have any concerns phone your GP and hopefully they can advise. You may only experience light bleeding or none at all.
