4 miscarriages in 15 months, can't seem to get past 9 weeks. Anyone experienced this and got a happy ending? Getting scared it'll never happen.

Hi there,

I had five miscarriages, not getting past 9/10 weeks. I tried a couple of the popular treatments on the last three, nothing seemed to work, in fact started losing earlier.
The tests showed nothing wrong with me or the one baby they tested.
On the sixth try, my DH and I decided to just go for it, without the medication and turn up to the EPU for scans every fortnight. I'm currently writing this breastfeeding the result of that pregnancy.
It was hard going and I felt like it would never happen, but she's here.
If you have any questions, do PM me. Wishing you all the luck, I know how awful recurrent miscarriage is.

Sad So sorry that's happened to you. Have you been referred to your local Early Pregnancy Unit? the cutoff used to be 3 mcs when I was going through it. I was prescribed clexane and went on to have 2dc, don't give up.

@SugarSW7 thanks for responding. What medications did you try?

@RedSheep73 thanks for responding. yes I was referred after 3, the Nhs did some tests but found nothing and was told to try again. I am considering going private now. How many did you have before you got 2 dc? Did you find a cause or just take clexane?

I had 2 mc then a dd. 2 mc and another dd. Referred to epau and had tests, aspirin, progesterone and cleaxane (buy they gave me that after a mix up in lab on a result)

I tried aspirin, clexane & progesterone. Even though they didn't find anything wrong, one or a combination may work for some women, as above. Didn't work for me, but maybe worth a try?

Hi OP, I got referred after my 3rd, no cause found but prescribed Clexane anyway. I then had my 2 DC.

I had a stillbirth followed by 18 months of no pregnancy despite massive effort then diagnosed with male factor infertility followed by 3 miscarriages all before 9 weeks (3rd was an IVF pregnancy). Even managed to catch the products of conception on the last one but the tests were inconclusive. As I was 40 they suggested putting back 2 frozen embryos. After all those losses we thought we may as well, doubtful that even one would make it. Am currently stressing about how to get my 3 month old twins to sleep. Am still in shock. I hope it works out for you xx
