I am now over 40 and have had two mmc. One in Nov 18 and another May 19. Are there any mums out there over 40 who conceived again successfully given my age and miscarriages? Have one successful pregnancy but nearly 4 years ago....

I conceived at 42.7, had a healthy ds although at 35 weeks due to blood clot - not age related just bad luck they said. Ttc again at 44 but 3 chemicals and a mmc at 8 weeks. Gave up at 45...
Good luck op.

It sometimes just seems all the stats are against me but we really want another and we got married late in life (not our choice just how it happened). After a mmc it’s always a worry it won’t happen again or another miscarriage will happen. Thank u for your reply.

I did; 3 mmc between 39-41, then gave birth 2 days before my 42 nd birthday. First child too. Wishing you all the very best x

SuperSange did you do anything different with the successful pregnancy? Did you get referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic at all? I suppose I want answers but there aren’t any. Thank you for your reply as it gave me some hope.

Hello, I’ve just turned 46 and my DS was born last week on his due date. This pregnancy came after 2 miscarriages between January and May last year. It was an uneventful pregnancy and generally straightforward. Wishing you all the very best.

Thank you so much TequilaMockingburd. That really gives me some hope. It always sounds like it will never happen given my age but I just have to hope. Hope u enjoy your DS:-)
